Adrenaline Rush!

Adrenaline Rush inside you as howling of the wolves gets louder and taking the jump out of your mundane life.

Night Safari, Singapore

One of the nightlife activities in Singapore would definitely be visiting the first Night Zoo in the world. Yes you guessed it. The Singapore Night Safari!

The Singapore Night Safari is opened in the year 1994, on the 26th of May, by Mr Goh Chok Tong, the Senior Minister of Singapore. The Night Safari had a total land area of 40 hectares, and there are two road loops (East loop and West loop) available.

The zoo is divided into eight geographical zones, which can be explored on foot via three walking trails. If your legs are getting tired, you can also continue the trip by trams which will bring you around to look and have a clearer view at the animals. It's definitely a relaxing trip as the cooling wind pats gently on your face without a single drip of sweat found on you. So try taking the tram if you're lazy or exhausted!

However, if you are going on the tram, you could only observed 18 exhibits. On the other hand, you could observed 41 exhibits if you go on foot! So why not go on foot to make your trip to the Zoo worthwhile?!

There are a total number of 1040 animals in the Safari, 120 different types of animal species (which 29% are threathened species). Thus, the Night Safari is not just a place for teenagers or young adults who are seeking for excitment and adventures, but also a suitable place for parents to bring their children to learn new things which are not taught in school.

Having similar field trips like this for children could allow them to have the opportunity to gain new knowlegde which might not be included in the textbooks. It is like a living classroom especially for people who have not seen these kinds of animals before!

The Long-eared owl.

At the same time, Night Safari helps to protect, preserve and restore wildlife and their habitats. It indeed holds the responsibility of educating and creating awareness to the public.
Furthermore, membership cards are also available, students can enjoy up to 50% discount for every entry since many teenagers go there often to tour. It is a place where many people can enjoy the nightlife and have an educational experience and you would definitely feel the adrenaline rush!

At the night safari, tourists can join the Singapore Zoo Night Safari Tour- crowned Singapore Tourism Awards Best Leisure Attraction Experience- which also includes an optional choice of dinner at the Ulu Ulu  Sfari Restaurant. Staying true to the safari theme, the restaurant is decorated and furnished like that of a natural wildlife environment. Its seats and tables made of wood, and the environment dimly litted with wooden beams.

Ambience aside, the Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant serves dishes that are not only international, but also almost anything and everything local- such as the famous chicken rice, hokkien mee, satay, mee goreng, and the list goes on.
